  Ton of Bricks

Ton of Bricks

In the beginning, Dave Adams of Joliet, IL & Dan Karabaic of Chicago, IL wanted to form an original band that was far from the average every day same old cover bands that were and still are predominant around the area. It was just a matter of time before they ran into Ron Bailey, who at first, was just filling in for studio purposes. When Ron found himself in the same boat Dave & Dan were in, he found that all three had some very common interests and philosophies within musical tastes and desires. Then in early January, February of 1998, the line up was complete when bassist Al Kratochvil joined the band.

The music of TON OF BRICKS can best be described as a tasteful blend of their own version of "groove-orientated" hardcore/heavy metal, with some melodic twists here and there. The diverse musical styles among the members of TON OF BRICKS combine to give them that "edge". The music and lyrical content of TON OF BRICKS is real. Songs are written primarily from real world problems we all must face every day as well as some past personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings. One thing that sets TON OF BRICKS apart from many bands is that when they play live, every bit of emotion and feeling from Dave, Dan, Ron, and Al pour out to create a very intense energy on stage as well as pure love and desire to be there. TON OF BRICKS released their first independent self-titled album in 1997. A follow up album is currently in the works for this hard hitting metal band. Check them out! You won't be sorry!
